2022 Updates & Changes

First off, thank you for a GREAT 2021! I can't thank you all enough for all the support! From referring me to your family and friends, tagging my business in posts on social media, or simply just engaging with me on social media. Your support doesn't go unnoticed, trust me. In 2021, I was able to meet new people, make new connections, and create stunning, lifelong portraits for all my clients. I am extremely thankful and grateful for each and every one of you.

As businesses grow, changes must happen. So here are a few updates and changes that will take effect in February 2022:

  1. NEW STUDIO! I moved into a new studio space! Most people thought I had my own studio already, but no. For those who don't know, I began offering studio sessions in 2019. I used my mom's salon as a studio space. Most of my studio work was shot in a small 12x25 room with salon equipment in it. Before each session, I had to move salon chairs and other equipment into another room to have more space. After each session was done, I moved it all back. I also had to setup my equipment then break it all down once I was done. It was very tiresome. Since I was using someone else's space, I could only offer a limited amount of sessions per day as well. My new space is very roomy with great lighting! There's a lot I could l say about it, but you'll have to book the DNP Experience to find out. Once everything is set up and in it's place, I may do a studio tour on my social media pages! But we'll cross that bridge when the time comes. Studio sessions are by appointment only and the location will be disclosed 1-2 days before your session.

  2. CLIENT CLOSET! Finding something to wear for your portrait session can be a stressful and daunting task, especially for mamas who have to find outfits for themselves PLUS their spouse and kids. I understand how frustrating that can be so I'm starting a client closet. Clients who book a photoshoot with me will have the option to use any gowns, robes, wraps, and accessories for their portrait session. Most items are free to use, however, some require an additional fee to be used. As for now, the client closet will only be for women and maternity clients, however I plan to add kids clothing and possibly clothing for men. I also accept donations. If you have any unique, elegant, fashionable gowns or accessories to donate, please let me know! Not all pieces will be accepted.

  3. NEW PRICES & FEES! As I begin to offer more for my clients, I must also raise my prices to accommodate what's new to come. Reworking prices and fees will better reflect the value of what I do and will enable me to do it even better! The new prices & fees will take effect in February 2022. For example, all prices listed will be for STUDIO SESSIONS ONLY. You may add-on an outdoor location for an additional fee.

  4. PROCESS CHANGES. I will be updating a few changes to my process as well. For example, instead of emailing clients proofs for 70+ images, I will narrow them down to the best 20-30 images. I understand it's hard making a decision with a ton of images. You want every single image! But this should make selecting your favorite images a tad bit easier. More changes to my process will be explained once you book the DNP Experience.

  5. POLICY ENFORCING! As I take on more clients this year, I will be more strict on enforcing the terms and conditions listed on my booking site. In the past years, I accepted a limited amount of clients so I was able to be a little lenient with my policies.

  6. PROPS & DECOR! Props/decor must be provided by the client. Clients are welcome to use any props/decor that I already have, but once those run out or if you want a specific prop/setup, you must provide it.

  7. PRINTS! DNP will eventually offer a variety of prints in the near future! This has been highly requested! However, once prints are offered, digital files will no longer come with your session, They will have to be purchased separately.

  8. BUILD MORE RELATIONSHIPS! Whether you’re a client or a fellow photographer, an event planner or a makeup artist, I really want to make more time to meet with you and build relationships. This is a business, but our work is all about connecting with other people. I want to meet new people and grow closer to the people I've already met.

  9. MORE CREATIVE PROJECTS! To keep my creative juice flowing, I aim to do more creative projects this year. I love planning a photoshoot then watching my ideas come to life. So this year, I want to push my creative limits. And trust me, I’ve already got some amazing shoots planned out!

That's all so far but I'll keep you updated on things as they develop. Again, thank you all for continuing to be so supportive of what I do. I look forward to working with you soon!
